I309 (CCL-1) Assay

I-309, also known as CCL-1, is a small 15 kDa glycoprotein secreted by activated T cells that belong to a family of inflammatory cytokines known as chemokines. CCL-1 cDNA encodes a 96 amino acid residue precursor protein with a hydrophobic signal peptide that is cleaved to yield a 73 amino acid residue mature protein. I-309 functions to attract monocytes, NK cells, immature B cells, and dendritic cells by interacting with the CCR8 receptor.
