UmanDiagnostics
NF-Light™ ELISAs

UmanDiagnostics, a division of Quanterix, supplies NF-Light™ antibodies and ELISA kits, which are widely recognized by researchers and biopharmaceutical and diagnostics companies world-wide as the premier solution for the detection of neurofilament light (Nf-L) to advance the development of therapeutics and diagnostics for neurodegenerative conditions.
The UmanDiagnostics NF-Light test uses two highly specific non-competing monoclonal antibodies. One is immobilized on a solid phase and catches the Nf-L in solution. The other antibody acts as a detector that interacts with the bound protein and gives rise to a signal through biotin – horseradish peroxidase avidin binding. The signal obtained from the standard curve corresponds directly to the amount of Nf-L.

NF-LIGHT™ SERUM ELISA (RUO)

The UmanDiagnostics NF-light™ Serum ELISA assay is an enzymatic immunoassay using two highly specific, non-competing, monoclonal antibodies. The capture antibody is coated on a solid surface and binds the sample NF-L. The secondary / detection antibody is biotin conjugated and addition of HRP-conjugated streptavidin allows for quantitative determinations by enzymatic turn-over of a colorless substrate (TMB) to a colored product. The absorbance value can be correlated to the amount of NF-L in the sample by using the calibrator curve.

The assay is for research use only for quantitative measurements of human Neurofilament light (NF-L) protein in serum samples. The kit is intended for professional use.

NF-LIGHT™ ELISA (CE-IVD)

The UmanDiagnostics NF-light™ test uses two highly specific non-competing monoclonal antibodies. One is immobilized on a solid phase and catches the neurofilament light (Nf-L) in solution. The other antibody acts as detector which interacts with the bound protein and gives rise to a signal through biotin – horseradish peroxidase avidin binding. The signal obtained from the standard curve corresponds directly to the amount of Nf-L.

NF-light™ ELISA is an invitro diagnostic device intended for quantitative determinations of human Neurofilament light (Nf-L) protein in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). The result is used to aid the diagnosis of neurological diseases such as amylotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis (MS), dementias and Parkinson’s disease (PD).

The kit is intended for professional use. In addition, the NF-light ELISA can be used for research using samples containing Nf-L from rat, bovine, and macaque sources as the antibodies in the assay recognizes Nf-L from these species as well.

Available for sale in Europe only.

Intended for research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedures, for detection of Nf-L in human CSF. The kit contains material for 40 tests in duplicate.
