IL-2RG

Interleukin-2 receptor gamma (IL-2RG) is a glycoprotein of the type I cytokine receptor family expressed on most lymphocyte populations. The gamma chain is the signaling subunit of the receptor complex. Lymphocytes that express this chain can form functional receptors for these cytokine proteins, which transmit signals from one cell to another and direct programs of cellular differentiation. Mutations in IL-2RG have been associated with immunodeficiency disorders.
