Steps Forward to Extracellular Vesicles Direct Analysis: From Ultrasensitivity to Handcrafted Solutions
date
September 25, 2024location
VirtualExtracellular vesicles (EVs) are membranous nano-sized biological particles released by cells that shuttle a high amount of molecular information, thus representing a significant source of biomarkers. However, challenges in isolating EVs from complex biological specimens combined with their heterogeneous nature are currently hindering translational applications. In this context, the session will cover the synergy of Simoa® ultrasensitive technology with membrane sensing peptides (MSP), a molecular technology specifically designed for EV investigation, as a solution that paves the way to translational applications of EVs in diagnostics.
