The first two events in the series focused on the field of Neurology, with presentations from current Simoa users who shared their data and experiences using our technology to advance the study of neurological diseases.

October 27, 2020- Access Video

The first event in the series features a welcome message by Quanterix President, Chairman, and CEO Kevin Hrusovsky and is moderated by Milena Milutinovic, PhD, Manager of Field Applications for Quanterix. With a focus on neurology, this event includes presentations by biotechnologist Paola Valentino of San Luigi Gonzaga University Hospital, Dr. Daniel Alcolea of Sant Pau, Barcelona, and a panel of experts, moderated by Mark Roskey, PhD, SVP of Commercial and Accelerator, who participated in an in-depth discussion on the clinical use of the biomarker neurofilament light.

The second event in the series features a welcome message by Quanterix President, Chairman, and CEO Kevin Hrusovsky and is moderated by Diana Caracino, PhD, Manager of Field Applications for Quanterix. With a focus on neurology, this event includes presentations Dr. Alessandra Martini of the Elizabeth Head Lab at UCI on her recent work with Neurofilament light for AD research, Drs. Kevin Wang and Sunny Yang of UFL, who discuss their research on protein biomarkers of TBI and MRI-detectable brain injury and a panel of experts, moderated by Mark Roskey, PhD, SVP of Commercial and Accelerator, who participated in an in-depth discussion on the clinical use of the biomarker neurofilament light.

November 12, 2020 – Access Video

The sixth event in the series is moderated by Diana Caracino, PhD, Manager of Field Applications for Quanterix and kicks off with an overview by David Duffy, PhD, CTO of Quanterix, covering recent advancements that are enabling up to 100x greater sensitivity in the Simoa bead technology platform. With a focus on neurology, this event continues with presentations by Dr. Huntington Potter, sharing latest findings through the application of Simoa biomarker assays for Alzheimer’s disease research and by Dr. Melissa Petersen of UTHSC, who discusses her utilization of Simoa to examine diagnostic biomarkers of cognitive impairment in Down’s Syndrome.

Two expert panels follow, moderated by Quanterix scientist Purvish Patel. He is first joined by researchers Dr. Fanny Elahi of UCSF, Dr. Christina Coughlan of the University of Colorado, Louise Monte of USC, and Dr. Aurelie Ledreux of the University of Denver in a conversation on measuring biomarkers in exosomes.The second panel includes Quanterix scientific advisor, Andreas Jeromin PhD, Dr. Kiran Bhaskar of the Univerisity of New Mexico, Dr. Kathy Nelson of the University of Minnesota, and Dr. Christina Coughlan to discuss their experiences in the study of biomarkers of neuroinflammation.
