IgE

IgE is an antibody synthesized by plasma cells and made up of two heavy chains and two light chains. IgE primarily functions to defend against parasitic invasion and is responsible for allergic reactions. IgE mediates inflammatory reactions as a response to allergens, releasing chemicals like histamine, leukotrienes, and certain interleukins.
