AAIC 2025: A Showcase of Simoa-Powered Innovation and Integration in Alzheimer’s Research

Next week, researchers from around the globe will gather in Toronto for the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) 2025, and Quanterix is proud to be at the center of the conversation, with our ultrasensitive Simoa® technology featured in more than 50 presentations across the scientific program.

This year’s conference marks a pivotal time for Alzheimer’s diagnostics. From advanced blood-based biomarkers to spatial phenotyping and dried blood spot technology, Quanterix will showcase innovations geared toward the growing momentum of less invasive, more accessible detection strategies. At Quanterix, we’re excited to help lead that evolution, both on the show floor and in the scientific sessions.

Over 50 Posters Featuring Simoa Technology

Our Simoa assays will be featured in more than 50 posters and presentations this year; a testament to their increasing use across Alzheimer’s research. You can access our full poster list, including collaborative abstracts with leaders in neurology and clinical chemistry. One featured study, Agreement between Alzheimer’s disease blood biomarkers and clinical diagnosis in primary care (Abstract 105489), highlights real-world applications of Simoa assays in diagnosing AD in primary care, underscoring our growing role in decentralized testing.

What to Expect at Our Booth

Come visit us at Booth #1510 for a truly interactive experience. Towering at over 7 feet, our immersive “All Tau-gether Now” microtubule installation will showcase the full portfolio of Quanterix tau assays, including two exciting new product launches: our p-Tau 205 and p-Tau 212 kits. Both assays represent a leap forward in specificity and scalability, expanding the toolkit for blood-based AD detection.

We’re also unveiling a dried blood spot display to demonstrate our new DBS Extraction Kit, built to support home- and clinic-based workflows for more accessible biomarker sampling.

Have questions? Our scientific team will be onsite and in private meeting rooms for deeper conversations around implementation, validation, and clinical translation.

Quanterix + Akoya: Advancing Spatial and Fluid Biomarkers

New this year: spatial phenotyping is now part of the Quanterix portfolio through our integration with Akoya Biosciences. Visit the booth to learn how pairing Simoa with Akoya’s spatial phenotyping platforms creates a powerful new lens into neurodegenerative disease. From matched tissue and blood samples to multiplex analysis, we’re pioneering a new era of biomarker discovery and validation.

The Future of Alzheimer’s Biomarkers

At AAIC 2025, Quanterix is not just participating, we are shaping the conversation. With the debut of our new p-Tau assays, expanded DBS capabilities, and our role in cross-cohort clinical validation efforts, we’re helping advance the field toward routine, scalable diagnostics that meet the needs of both researchers and clinicians.

We look forward to seeing you in Toronto. Stop by our booth, download the poster guide, and connect with our team to explore how Simoa can power your next Alzheimer’s breakthrough.
