Rising Stars in Spatial | #1 Shaping the Future of Spatial Biology
Posted on
Join us for an exciting introduction to the Rising Stars in Spatial webinar series, where Niro Ramachandran, Chief Business Officer at Akoya Biosciences will provide a unique look at the rise of spatial biology, highlighting the pioneering researchers who have shaped its development and paved the way for new scientific breakthroughs as well as explore its future potential in precision medicine and to advance patient care.
Our own star Clemens Duerrschmid, Ph.D, Field Applications Manager, will present a major milestone in spatial biology – an ultrahigh-plex single-cell spatial phenotyping study of human FFPE head and neck tumor tissue aimed at simultaneously unveiling the orchestrated and complex tumor heterogeneity. Using the PhenoCycler-Fusion System with a meticulously designed 103-plex antibody panel, deep investigations of cancer can be performed, providing an integrated view of the different pathways that regulate tumor progression. The data show the intricacies of intra-tumor heterogeneity and aid in revealing mechanisms underlying partial therapeutic response demonstrating the power of rapid, deep, single-cell spatial phenotyping.
