Abstract:

New tools are needed to understand HIV central nervous system involvement. In this brief report, we tested cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples from 15 study participants for p24 antigen using a high sensitivity assay. There was a strong correlation trend between CSF p24 concentration and worse neuropsychological performance.
