About Myla Lai-Goldman, MD
Myla is a seasoned diagnostics industry leader. She is Chair of GeneCentric Therapeutics, Inc., a precision medicine company, where she previously served as CEO and President from June 2011 until 2018. She is also Managing Partner of Personalized Science, LLC, a clinical diagnostics consulting firm she founded in 2008.
Earlier in her career, Myla was CEO and Chief Scientific Officer of CancerGuide Diagnostics, Inc., and held several executive roles—including Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, and Chief Scientific Officer—at Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings (LabCorp) and its predecessor company, Roche Biomedical Laboratories, Inc. She has been a Venture Partner at Hatteras Venture Partners since August 2011 and served on the board of Akoya Biosciences, Inc. until its acquisition by Quanterix in 2025. In addition, Myla has served as a director of West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (NYSE: WST), a public pharmaceutical company since 2014, NovoPath Inc. since 2022 and Mercy BioAnalytics, Inc. since 2023. Myla holds a Bachelor of Arts in biology with a concentration in ecology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Doctor of Medicine from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
