Quanterix Corporation is a development stage diagnostics company utilizing proprietary Single Molecule Array (SiMoA™) technology for the development and commercialization of blood tests that measure clinically important proteins in blood. SiMoA, which is at least 1000-fold more sensitive than standard laboratory tests, will provide physicians and medical researchers with the tools to measure low abundance proteins. The application of SiMoA will lead to the development of a new generation of diagnostic tests, providing greater insight into disease detection, diagnosis and surveillance.

SiMoA can quickly address a multi-billion dollar market of both existing and novel biomarkers, and over time, achieve a dominant technical position in the immunoassay market, expected to exceed $20 billion dollars by 2020. Multiple high-value opportunities for SiMoA technology in clinical diagnostics have been identified. The company has already demonstrated the assay platform on a number of relevant biomarkers, and has entered into clinical collaborations to validate its first two diagnostic applications. The company plans to commercialize the platform by initially offering high value tests through its Quanterix Clinical Laboratory, serving both clinicians for patient testing, and pharmaceutical companies to support clinical trials.

Founded in 2007, Quanterix is the exclusive licensee of a broad intellectual property portfolio initially developed at Tufts University by Dr. David Walt, scientific founder of Quanterix and Illumina (NASDAQ: ILMN). Quanterix's experienced management team, supported by a world class group of scientific and medical advisors, has extensive scientific, clinical, product development and commercialization experience. The privately held Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company is backed by leading life science investors including ARCH Venture Partners, Bain Capital Ventures, and Flagship Ventures.
